We provide a broad range of engineering support including design, analysis of the manufacturability and testability of design (DFM and DFT), test implementation and pilot production runs leading to volume production. These support functions strengthen our relationships with customers and build strategic manufacturing links between the customer and us to work effectively in new product launches.

Manufacturing Process Instructions (MPI)
Manufacturing Process Instructions are documented to control individual processes and to provide proper instructions to operators. MPI is written to ensure conformance to ISO 13485:2003 Quality Management Systems for Medical Devices and ISO 9001:2008.
Our Engineering department generates MPI, and it is available for customers to review and specify any critical quality parameters.
Design for Manufacturability (DFM) & Design for Testability (DFT) Analysis
Based on the design, our Engineering generates a Product Profile which lists design specifics about the product. From the Product Profile, the first pass manufacturing yield is estimated with six sigma process control. Design review is performed based on IPC design guidelines and standards. This analysis is feedback to customer's Engineering for their design review.
BOM (Bill of Materials) & AVL (Approved Vendor List) Management
We provide services to manage and update the BOM and AVL for new and End-of-Life products.
We can accurately identify and list all of the components required to produce a given product at any given revision level. Adequately structured BOM's with complete and accurate content can minimize design errors and sourcing delays, streamline procurement functions, and provide efficiency on the manufacturing floor. Having a correct BOM is very crucial since 70% of the product cost is locked after the initial design stage. Therefore, selecting the right part at an early stage can significantly reduce the risk of designing a product that is at risk from a performance standpoint.
RoHS Conversion RoHS (Restriction of the use of certain Hazardous Substances) directive covers a wide range of products, including integrated not only electrical and electronic products but also individual parts, raw materials and packing cases. Symprotek has been providing RoHS conversion engineering services to Medical and Military customers. We can convert BOM and AVL to RoHS compliant.
No Clean Process
We have a No-Clean manufacturing process that has been validated and certified by the third party based upon applicable IPC specifications for Lead-Free. We have IPC trained and certified personnel on staff.
